That said, I still enjoy visiting thrift stores. I do think it's different when you get stuff from family and friends, especially for kids who are growing very fast so they only wear these donated items like several months or year at most. After regularly visiting a thrift store, you can easily end up with lots of stuff you don't really need or like which later goes direction the garbage can anyway, and you waste more money than buying some new item from a regular store.Īlso, nowadays you have cheaper retail and markets which sell decent-looking, average quality clothing which is quite affordable, and doesn't look like something out of Granny's closet. You aren't on your guard around cheap things, hence you are much more prone to impulse buying than normally.
FASCINATING WOMANHOOD CLOTHING SKIN
I would say it's different with the big stuff like furniture, but clothes is something you put on yourself, close to your skin and then have on a couple of days or even longer, if it's something like a cardi, for instance.Ģnd hand clothes are usually quite cheap. I realise it sounds a bit new-agey, but you have no way to know what sort of person wore this item before and how it could influence you. Next, of course, I'm aware that they all get washed and disinfected and what not, but have you never noticed that people generally leave some imprint on their surroundings and the things they use? Like, for instance, in some houses you feel sad while in others you will feel happy? Mostly they are well worn out, and you can see it.They generally don't look very nice per definition, unless it's a well-known quality brand whose owner only put it on a couple of times (granted, this happens, too). Now I'd probably say, no, unless you are in reduced circumstances.įirst of all, the clothes which end up in these stores are nearly never new (sometimes they get some new stuff from big retailers, but it doesn't happen very often). Do not submit to any standard of beauty that was not defined by you.Several years ago I'd say, yes. So wear your crown boldly and be very proud of who you are. At any age, It is always wonderful to be elegant, fashionable to have grace and glamorous to be brave. There are far more beautiful and admirable things for you.

Grace is an ability to give as well as to receive and be thankful.

One thing that these young girls should be taught is assurance – self-assurance. For example at the age of sixteen, you are told this is what you should wear, at eighteen this is how you should behave etc. Where are those woman today? Woman to mother the current struggle of our youth? In this lifetime young girls are taught what they should be like at every age of their lives and what they should be doing. They instilled a culture of respecting and valuing oneself as a woman, that whatever you may be, never forget the higher being – that is God. These women played a valuable role – one that we miss in society today. One is grateful if they were raised by strong woman – woman of faith – woman of God. As the bible says in 1 Peter 3:3-4 “ Let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quite spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious”, therefore Isn’t elegance forgetting what one is wearing? The elegance is as physical, as moral quality that has nothing common with the clothing. The unfortunate thing that we see today is that young girls measure the quality of their beauty based on what they see every day on social media, forgetting that in order to find and know your own beauty is to know what is inside your heart. Elegance is achieved when all that is superfluous has been discarded and the human being discovers simplicity and concentration: The simpler and more sober the posture, the more beautiful it will be.Įlegance means, the quality of being graceful and stylish in appearance or manner.
